Trade exchange between Egypt and Sudan exceeds $326 million during the first quarter of 2026

“In the framework of supporting economic relations and enhancing trade and investment integration opportunities between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Sudan,”
The Egyptian-Sudanese Company for Development and Multiple Investments contributed to preparing a statistical report on the movement of trade exchange between the two countries during the first quarter of 2026.


“The report’s data showed that the total volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Sudan reached more than $326 million during the first quarter of this year “As Egyptian exports to Sudan recorded $255.57 million, while Egyptian imports from Sudan reached $71 million.”

“The report pointed out the diversification of trade flows between the two countries,”
“which included 326 types of various goods and products, reflecting the strength of trade relations and economic integration between the Egyptian and Sudanese markets.”

“Food industries topped the list of Egyptian exports to Sudan, valued at $76.18 million, followed by building materials at $49.31 million, and chemical products and fertilizers at $33.36 million. On the other hand, agricultural products led Egyptian imports from Sudan, valued at $45.06 million, representing about 63.5% of total imports.”

“The report also demonstrated the complementary nature of economic relations between the two countries,”
“as Egypt contributes to providing manufactured goods, production inputs, and building materials,”
“while Sudan provides raw materials, agricultural crops, and livestock,”
