The Egyptian-Sudanese Company for Multiple Development and Investments Contracts to Supply 35,000 Head of Livestock Ahead of Eid Al-Adh

As part of its role in supporting food security and contributing to the supply of meat products for consumers, the Egyptian-Sudanese Company for Multiple Development and Investments has announced the completion of contracts to supply approximately 35,000 head of live livestock, in preparation for distribution in the local market during the Eid Al-Adha season

This step comes as part of the company’s cooperation with relevant state authorities to enhance the supply of live livestock and meet market demand during the peak season, contributing to market stability and balance. The livestock will be supplied to five companies affiliated with the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade as part of an integrated system aimed at providing high-quality products to Egyptian consumers.

The Egyptian-Sudanese Company for Multiple Development and Investments reaffirms its commitment to supporting the food security system by leveraging its capabilities and extensive expertise in the livestock sector, while strengthening economic cooperation between Egypt and Sudan in a manner that serves the objectives of sustainable development.

This move comes as part of the government’s efforts to balance the meat market and curb the expected price hikes during the holidays. It also aims to support market stability and meet consumer needs with adequate quantities. The rollout of these large numbers of livestock is expected to boost supply and ease price pressures, especially with the seasonal surge in demand for meat during Eid al-Adha.
